Conch Republic

I recently had the opportunity to make a series of pictures for Dana Craig’s Richmond Times-Dispatch restaurant review of Conch Republic, in Richmond, Va. I’d been here for happy hour before and instantly *loved* the terrace/balcony overlooking the James River, complete with tiki bar and enormous open windows leading into the main dining area. The restaurant is part of the Rocketts Landing complex and is a great addition to rva’s going-out scene. I felt like I had stepped away from the office and onto a beach in the Caribbean (almost). I know the James isn’t exactly the Caribbean, but if you need a break, this is a good place to start! For Dana’s review click here and for the slideshow click here. Enjoy!

Here comes the bride!

Lisa and Andrew tied the knot June 25 in a beautiful Richmond wedding. So now…I can blog Lisa’s bridal session! My favorite detail from Saturday’s reception was a series of 8×10 portraits of brides throughout the years from both Lisa and Andrew’s families, and I was thrilled to see one from this session included in the bunch. Lisa looked stunning both for the session and on her wedding day. More on the wedding to come, but for now, enjoy!

Love in Annapolis

Here is a fun fun fun engagement session in the beautiful city of Annapolis to kick off my summer blogging. Who doesn’t love charming old brick buildings, sailors and hearts in random places? And did I mention the super sweet couple who made it all come together in a few hours of photo love? Following are my favorites from the session, enjoy!
